On the "earth as deserted wasteland" plot, it's pretty similar to WALL-E plot. Interesting to see if there are any people still on the planet? |

Finally - a *very* good episode! Gives me hope for the last set of episodes. I think it's a little odd/ a little funny the carbon-based folks didn't make a bigger deal about Mystery Cylon #5 not being fully addressed by Xena the Warrior Cylon. I think *somebody* should have freaked about that... worth a couple of lines. |

I kind of assumed all the BSG people were the remnants of the people of Earth. It seemed to me to be a bit of eco-commentary, where mankind had eventually made Earth uninhabitable, took off into space, and then returned many thousands of years later where Earth only remained a memory to them. It will be interesting to see if there are actually any other "people" to be found on Earth, though with half a season still left, I imagine the planet has to have a few surprises. |

It really is too bad for them. I guess it makes sense (for the producers) to make earth a deserted wasteland, with humanity wiped out. I think it would be a little too complicated to include humans from earth with the BSG guys. Because then you would have to think up a date (on earth) for this to happen, and also give the Earthites different personalities, cultures, technology etc. |
